it for CBS) That's why they setup shop in Japan in 82' . I think the deal
was closed in 84'? Your right tho they didn't get the buildings. For a year
or two there was no/or minamal production in the U.S. The SQ Squires
where made/assembled in the same plant as the JV's. One of the 3
SQ's I have accutully has a JV serial # ?? It's a 3-bolt large headstock
bullet rod. (Very strange?) I don't imagine anyone would fess up anytime
soon. But these fella's knew they where buy'in the Co. So who knows
what they where scheming?? Regardless of there origin the SQ's are
great guitars.
