Keep me updated on this if you remember to lol. I've been half ass kicking around getting some 1x12's with higher power speakers to take up less room. I'm kind of curious as to how a 1x12 loaded with an EVM would pair up with my Triple Rectifier.

EVMs are kinda neat. I used them for a while with a quasi-rack system a couple years ago. They sounded amazing clean; you could clearly hear every nuance even when running tons of effects. Playing dirty you either love them or you don't. They're really deep and bright, but also really stiff; they don't seem to have the sort of 'give' or coloration that lower power speakers do. I didn't care for them for this reason, but you just might.

I'll try it out eventually. All the funds I have now are for other things, so it's not a high priority. Zakk Wylde has been using EVM's for a long time now. I enjoy his tone when he's not pinching every other note.
