I second the 2x12 thing. I like to get a 2x12 and load it with two speakers that sound nice on their own but sound very nice together. I use a Celestion V30 and G12H30 in mine. For live gigs, you can mic whichever speaker suits the application the best, or you can mic both. You can carry your head in one hand and your 2x12 in the other hand, and it adds a lot of versatility.

Do any of you know of any websites that would be selling a the 2100 SL-X marshall head and 2x12 1936 marshall cabinet? I've trying looking for these, but I have only seen them at ebay with prices that are close to the limit I can spend.

ive gone to using 2x12 cabs. i used to use two 1x12's and i used only one 1x12 for a little while but i like pushing a little more air and having two miss-matched speakers

JCM 900's are fetching a few more bucks on ebay right now then they did 6 months ago. (I dont know why) I have seen them go for the $525-$650 range

Do you know any where else I online I could go to find a marshall jcm900 sl-x 100w head? I have tried that auction at the guitar center and have not found it there.
