2 Hot Rails differences?

Hi there,
Are those 2 Seymour Duncan - Hot Rails (neck) the same?
I believe the one with the writing in the middle is the newer model.

Where can I find the old one?

yep, thats about it. they are different looking but the wind is the same as far as i know and you can only find the older style used

I doubt it. That looks like a vintage-style Strat triangular base plate.

They sound exactly the same, but the newer model is better. The old ones would die due to sweat and dirt getting inside (happened to me on tour once). The new design completely prevents that from happening.

I just went to check the one I have in the middle position of a late 90s H"S"H guitar.

With my tiny screen phone they all look the same lol

Yeah, the newer model on the right. The cover is glued on, so nothing can get in the windings to affect them. They should sound exactly the same.
