Sea Of Lies - I don't think you have it quite up to speed, and you should definitally work on the accuracy and clearness of the tapping, as well.

Speed Kills - The sweep in the beginning wasn't as clear as MAB does it, and some of the faster runs were kind of slopped, and some bends out of tune.

For one year, that's really really good playing though. Take some time and slow down, learn the parts perfectly slow, make sure every note comes out clear, expecially in the sweeping sections. Once you have each part down, peice it together so it runs fluidly. Also, a metrenome works wonders.

Other than that, great job! Keep it up. I know I couldn't play that at one year.

thanks. thats my main problem- the timing. thanks for the tips. I going to add Eugenes TrickBag and Altitudes by Jason Becker. I've yet to learn Speed Metal Sympohony. Other guys on a diff. forum asked me to do those songs. So far I already did Altitudes, so I'll post it soon.

I've gotta agree with deadskinslayer.
It's better to play slow but correct. I know, it's boring when you wanna shred, but it'll pay off in the end. Sooner than you know you'll be doing this stuff in normal speed with no errors... :wink:

But if you've just been playing for one year, you're REALLY good. keep up the good work, and you'll be something extra in a few years.
I wish I was that good back in the days, well, I'm not much of a guitarplayer now either.. But it's fun and that what counts :laugh2:

Your the same guy that was trying to get Metallica tone through a 15 watt SS a few months ago, and pretty much called the solo's of RIP easy compared to the stuff you were trying to learn right? ;)

Well man, first off I'm glad you have the drive to want to play stuff like this - it's a good sign that you wanna be proficiant on your instrument; you've obviously put a lot of time into learning those pieces. However, those performances were a bit sloppy and IMO you're trying to play stuff you don't yet have the technique or hand strength for yet.

Slow them down and get them clean, and work on your bending accuracy. It's boring I know, but you won't sound professional without getting those nailed.

Btw, if you really have been playing for only a year thats pretty good; just put the time in on cleaning up your technique and you'll be rocking soon :headbang:

haha yeah that was me. still have that amp lol. well yeah i mean i was pretty right cause you really cant compare Rust in Peace to No Boundaries lol. thanks for the comment. Oh and guys learned most of the altitudes sweeps by Jason Becker (I learned it in one hour lol), so its al ittle sloppy and a one take, so I'm going to put this version up. If you guys like it I will work on it and do the whole song. And nuntius back then I told you guys that I can play those songs but I didnt have the balls or knowledge to post them lol. So check it out altitudes should b up by 5 minutes.

Sounds like Speed Kills DVD is worth the money. I was thinking about picking it up. Keep it up!

ok guys I'm going to post a demo of speed metal symphony, there are obvious timing problems but thats thats because my computer is really messed up, it messed up the timing, so its a demo. Also there are a couple wrong notes, and I only learned this song yesterday believe it or not.
