2 problems, one thread, need a little help here

Okay, Ive got two really wierd problems here, hopefully somebody here can give me some answers, I have an old Kay archtop with the tissue box single coil pickups, one of them works fine, the other two have almost no output, the problem is this, all three coils measure approximately the same, and the two that have almost no output, if you tap on the pole pieces with a screwdriver you get it through the amplifier but yet you strum the string and it's almost dead? Any ideas what's going on? yes I have tested switches and, controls and everything test good.
2nd one is even stranger, I have an ibanez roadstar, with a single coil in the neck, the b string pole piece has no output ?? All others work and sound fine, but the b string is silent, the other pickups don't have this problem and sound fine. Any insight? Thanks in advance.

For the second issue, that magnet pole has lost its magnetic charge. I came across a telecaster once with the same problem on the A string.

The Kay pickup problem would need to see clear pictures of the wiring and pickups and what the exact measurements were and how you were measuring.

And what part of the circuit you are measuring at. If you just measure the pickup, then all the switching/pots/jack connections are not part of your testing. Its often a good idea to reflow all the solder joints......its like turning the computer off and on again.
