I don't see anyone whining about the lack of contours on a Les Paul.
As much as I loved my LP I always found myself thinking as far as 'comfortable' goes a tummy/forearm cut body was better. That gives me an idea, a flat top LP with tummy/forearm/neck joint cut from Warmoth, definately unique.
Step in the right direction.
Imagine you're building a custom guitar, just for you, that NOONE ELSE WILL OR CAN EVER SEE. does it have a tummy cut?

I like it
It's called a PRS SE Singlecut (or Soapbar)
I have one and it's wonderful.
Strat bridge saddles and a tummy cut. Why not add a trem and a middle pickup while you're at it?
It's not for me, but as others have said there are plenty of more traditional Teles in the Fender catalog.
Strat bridge saddles? I have to double check that! I hate strat saddles! Too sharp and cut my hand up!

is it me or does it seem wrong that the new 2012 American Standard Tele model Fender has issued has a Tummy Cut... it looks ugly...
