Hey guys,

I've finally come to a definitive decision on the pickups I'm going to use for my "Tele" (it's an SX STL-50)...going with the SM-3N and the ST59-1B.

So now my question is...what value pots? The guitar is solid Alder with a Maple neck/fretboard. I play through a Vox AC15CC1 and a Vox AC4TV.

The wiring instructions say 500K for the SM-3N and 250K for the ST59-1B...so what do I go with in the Tele (since there's only 1 vol and 1 tone)? I certainly want to avoid ice-pickiness in the bridge, but at the same time I want to avoid muddy lows in the neck (although I think the SM-3N should be good for avoiding the mud...right?)

I need to use the short mini pots (seems as though allparts is the only place I can find these) to fit in my setup, and they appear to only come in 250K or 500K (so it looks like 375K is out of the picture).

Thanks!

i have a custom made tele bridge pup and antiquity II firebird neck pup in my tele and run 250k pots. it sounds great! your setup is pretty similar and i think you will much prefer the 250k pots
