Ive had this Ebony board LP Studio Lite for years and have hated just about every....wait...EVERY pickup Ive ever had in it. It is sooo brite, brittle and almost annoying in tone. Well, I finally stuck some 250 pots in and so far it sounds great. Has a meatier tone, I currently have a set of nickel DD HB103s that for some reason have sounded awesome in just about every guitar they have been in, so ive kept them around. This combo has a vowel like sound almost wahlike. I did run black to hot and green/bare to ground. I know duncans are that way, but these seemed factory soldered and shrink tubed to be black and bare to ground, unless someone did a nice job! Well, I dont know if phase will change sound or not, but the 250ks have made this guitar playable again.
