2x12 that would work well with my rig...

Im currently running a 4x12 (Marshall 1960a) for my Marshall dsl50.
I am getting somewhat tired of hauling a 4x12 around, and I was wondering if there are some good 2x12 cabs that would sound pretty good with my setup. I need something in the price range so that I could trade my 1960a for it. its worth about 800$ new so yeah...

I have heard good things about the THD 2x12" cabinet...

I also have been offered a Bogner 2x12 open back with 2 vintage 30s...but I guess thats only 60 watts total and yeah...probably would blow with a 50 watt all tube head.

Check out the Splawn 2 x 12 cabs--they offer a standard size and an oversized. I bought the standard a while back and couldn't be happier with the way my MKIII sounds now. I had 'em load mine with Eminence Governors, but they'll put in whatever you like. Here you go-- http://www.splawnguitars.com/custenclos.htm

yeah v30's are 60 watts bro

but emi wizards might work out too, they're 15 more watts so the speakers won't be working quite as hard

I just got an Avatar rig. With Hellatone speakers-broken in Vintage 30's. Sounds sick and believe it's the best value out there.

If you haven't check out avatar, you should!

Several times when space and weight has been an issue we have sent a Lopo Signature 2x12. We have had real good feed back with a pairing of the Weber Silver Bell and Emi Private Jack. Total of 8 ohms and 100 watts has been great with a 1987 Plexi clone. If you are interested you can take a look at www.lopoline.com.
Good Luck
