2x12 VS. 4x12

Is there a huge difference between the two? I'm going to save up for a Line 6 head and I don't really want to lug around a 4x12. I looove the tone of my 5150 and it has a 2x12. Wouldn't a 4x12 just be louder and have a little more bottom-end?

Yes, but everyone says that a 4 X 12 kicked there ass so good that they stayed with one rather than going back to a 2 X 12.

for me, the lack of a back ache makes up for the tone difference.. if ever in my fantasy land, i get a road crew, their hulin' some 4X12's.. until then i like my 2x12
