Put me on a desert island with my PRS singlecut, Godin Montreal, and a nice acoustic (tayor, higher-end martin, the like), and I'll be happy.

My LP Goldtop with Brobucker/Jazz B modded with pullup tone pots.
Strat with an SSS and HS pickguards I could alternate between.

If you talking just electrics then: A double Fat Strat, A tele and an arctop accoustic electric, like a 355

A HSS/HSH Strat, with coil splitting out the ass.

The third guitar there is the all tonal bases guitar.

Since i got my MIM strat(SSS) that beats every MIA strats i've played... and my beloved washburn(double buckers) i was thinking of a tele - but when i walked to a guitar store(today) i've played HWY1 Tele , brand new off the shelf - i wasn't impressed at all - no classy twang , i suppose "modern C neck" that i don't like and the overall feel was bad . So... if i'll be buying new 3 guitars:
1.Semihollow
2.p90 equipped thing
3.maybe another strat or a Paul (or a tele if i find a good one)

or maybe just one : p90 equipped semihollow PRS-like axe:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

I guess to cover the most ground, the best combo would be a LP, a strat and an acoustic.

But personally I would rather have a LP, a tele and ... I can't decide: a semi hollow 335-style or a resonator (both of which I actually never tried but I am sure I would enjoy very much)

Here's how I look at it: if I had to thin my current harem down to only three I'd keep the Les Paul Studio, the Aria Strat copy, and the Takamine EF508KC.

Like Joe, I'd like a second guard for the strat to fulfill my occasional single coil desires.

My three guitars I couldn't gig without would be:

1. Strat or Tele...I bring both
2. Martin 000-28HD or Taylor acoustic...I bring both
3. National Delphi or Style O resonator guitar...I sometimes bring both

No offence, but you guys who list three electric guitars might want to get a good acoustic and expand your playing style and song writing a little....

A Les Paul, a Telecaster and a hollowbody guitar with P'90's and a Bigsby (just for looks, the vibrato, not the guitar.)

I think everyone should own at least one POS guitar as their only guitar for at least 6 months once they know how to play.

It'll give you an appreciation for the good ones.
