3-hole pickup feet for Viger

Hi,

I have a Vigier Excalibur with a mirror pickguard that has two holes for the bottom pickup mounting.....something like this:

Actual guitar:

The current bridge pickup is really corroded....it may because of that that it sounds very thin....or it may have sounded like that in this guitar anyhow...an SH-5. Anyhow, I'm wondering what pickups might fit that configuration....and if they are high output and very warm, all the better.

Finally, and apologies if I'm not supposed to ask this....are there are other pickup manufacturers that have pickup feet in this configuration?

Thanks,
Andy

I think you can order Duncans with the 2+1 baseplate orientation. You can also have a new pickguard made with 2 screws for each pickup and not worry about it.

Thanks. I'd assumed that a custom mirrored pickguard for the Vigier would be very expensive...it certainly would be from Vigier...

Re: 3-hole pickup feet for Viger

You could probably make a hole in ths pickguard...or use some of the 2+1 config pickups out there.

Problem with that is that im pretty sure theres multiple spacings for 2+1 hole patterns

Another tactic to fall back on is to use a pickup ring to cover the mess if the hole turns out sloppy... if it is plastic, the way to fit it right would probably be to melt a pilot with the tip of a hot soldering iron, then enlarge to desired size using a self-threading screw

I'm pretty sure his pickup is a TB-5, not an SH-5. Any trembucker will have the correct configuration. Vigier just happens to be one of the only companies where you see the 3+3 feet used as they're intended.

Now that's established....I like big round sounds.....and strat quack....so which humbucker that will be nice and powerful to match the neck pickup (which will be the SH-5 :) ).....and also, do I consider the P-rails?

This is the current wiring:

1 Humbucker in neck position
2 Single-coil in neck & middle position
3 Single-coil in neck & bridge position
4 Single-coil in bridge & middle position
5 Humbucker in bridge position

so I'm figuring some kind of push pull would be needed on the volume or tone pot.....again down to the difficulty the mirror guard presents for customisation...

Thanks,
Andy
