3 humbucker guitar

i have an ibanez grx20 i have been working on for quite some time. i have upgraded everything from factory. i now have seymours in it: an sh-6 that can split at the bridge and a jb-11? jazz pickup at the neck, switched with a 5-way switch. i have several different combos.
now i love the sounds i can get out of it now, but im wanting to add more single coil sound to it also. particularly a neck/middle,neck single coil sound. and i also want to add a phase switch, coil split switch, and series/parallel switch.
iwas thinking about adding a 3rd humbucker that can split on the neck. i want to keep the jazz pickup and move it to the middle. my question is will haveing 3 humbuckers on this guitar be safe? will it have any adverse affecs? i dunno i have never played a 3 humbucker guitar.
all i have to do is cut out a space for it and do some re-wiring.
as you can see im trying to pull a brian may here..lol. and build a guitar that can do all the things i want it to. any advice would help a lot thanks.

Re: 3 humbucker guitar

the LP Black Beauty had 3 buckers. It might get in the way of your strumming, but other than that, the tone shouldnt change of the guitar itself that much. It will a little because you're moving wood. About the wiring stuff, you'll have to wait for somebody else to pop up.

Try an Black Beauty with 3 hum's and add wiring to split the middle and neck. I would never do that to mine though, tone is so amazing.
