Laugh all you want, the MSRP is $500! So, that's actually a bargain!:burnout:Found this on my local CL and had to laugh.

The EVH Frankenstein pick up was manufactured by the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop for EVH Gear.that is the new humbucker made by Fender/EVH.
500 is the actual number that were made.it is the exact same pickup in the $25K frankie replicas. it is hand signed by edward, aged and is limited to like 300 (or something like that).
:fing2:... and anywhere from $220 to $250 less than the relic version which most retailers are selling for a mere $399!there also a non signed version, its the same pickup, only not signed by eddie and not aged.
i dont think im gonna buy it. i cant believe im saying this but ive gotten tired of trying to copy ed's sound, cuz in never gonna eb able to do it. Im now on a quest for my own sound......something that makes ME different!

I will laugh, every time I play on my $45 used C5 or my $35 used PATB-1 and I sound like myself and not like someone else.
The IM-1 is 14k the '78 is 9k, the pups in the new wolfgang are ceramic. God knows what this one is like
I don't know what an EVH pickup is anymore....
Wow.... I thought $150 for it from Musician's Friend was absurd.
Edit- I had the price $30 too high. Still absurd, though.
