4-conductor Lil-59 NECK

I bought this pup used and in like-new condition. I am working a project with 302s Yamaha Telecaster. I am putting this in the neck. The red/white get tied of together, connected, soldered. Leaving the Black/Green. Now from memory, the Green is the Hot? and the Black the groung? Right or Wrong? Thanks Gary.

Green should be ground. Unless the pickup is out of phase with your other pickups. Then you can make green hot and black ground. Attach to bare wire to whichever wire you decide to make ground. Don't cut the wires until you're sure which way you'll need to wire it. Lew
