411 on this fender amp.

Re: 411 on this fender amp.

great avatar! Thats the end of the shining aint it? ..when they show "Jack" in the old picture .
The Shining is a great movie but after the 4th-5th viewing it starts to wear thin ( unlike a timeless classic you could watch very many times..but those first few viewings are awesome).
About the amp..your getting into vintage price territory there , and for an Circuitbard amp that who knows whats it sounds like . Obviously not taat many people are creaming their jeans over it. I've heear of "Zinky", but couldnt really tell you anything about him.

Bruce Zinky Used to run the custom shop at fender. Hes an amazing amp builder started up his own company called Zinky which aren't that well know but get really good reviews. I haven't tried one yet cause I just don't like the velvet look.

No speakers? Non original transformer? Eh, I'd pass at that price. Just Googling I found examples at about the same price except unmolested. Plus the seller sounds like a flippin tool. "...shipping this amp with the vintage 30's that they were made with might be too much weight for the front baffle to uphold." What a moron.

Re: 411 on this fender amp.

hes an idiot but those can be nice amps. i wouldnt get that one though

Re: 411 on this fender amp.

I played one several times when they first came out. It's one of the boldest and punchiest clean amps Fender has ever made. It's like a 100W Vibroking. It's not an amp that breaks up much....it's got massive headroom. If it were bone stock, $1400 would be reasonable.

I found this clip on the tube.

The Manual

Too pricey for what your getting.

Re: 411 on this fender amp.

In that video the volume is on 1-2. That is a heck of a loud clean amp, but for that.....it's about as good as it gets. Put both those volumes on 4 and it's like a fat sounding Twin Reverb cranked.

I love that amp, but it's like the volume equivalent of a 100W plexi in a Fender format.
