120w, all knobs cranked to 11, and my unprotected ear resting right on the grille cloth so that I can hear all the nuances of my sound. Anything less just wouldn't be metal.

I've always run my XTC at 50 watts. That's with another guitarist, and full gig volume. I think it sounds sweeter that way, and is plenty loud. Not even halfway up on the volume.
