50'S Volume Mod

Sorry, ArtieToo and Lew for being pedantic. I couldn't get my picture inserted into the thread. so I attached it.

The red and green wires that I have drawn are existing wires red from pickup side to the control side. Green to the volume pot.

I will leave the green and red wires in place. I simply need to add one new wire, blue, from where the red wire starts on the pickup side to the open volume pot terminal. Do That And I have completed the 50's mod right? That is simple. I just want to make sure I got it right.

Ok, like this:

One half of the 5-way is used for pickup selection, and goes to the end of the volume control thats opposite of ground.

The other half of the 5-way is used for tone control selection and its "common" terminal goes to the middle lug of the volume control.

I can make that pic larger and clearer if you need. Let me know.

Edit: Just to be clear - the little jumper that's used to connect the two halves of the 5-way is removed. You don't use it with the 50's mod.

Ok, like this:

Cool Artie. Now, if you would draw me a schematic for the 4 pickup Les Paul I am building. I want to be able to split each bucker seperately, and run them all in series AND parallel with each other, regardless of if they are split or not. I also want to be able to combine the bridge pickup with any of the other pickups in any position. I will be running 4 volume and 4 tone's, and want the 50's wiring on that as well. Oh, and I'm thinking of throwing in a Piezo as well, after downing a full bottle of Tapatio! :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:
