5150 Clip With Drums: Arch Enemy - Dark Of The Sun

Re: 5150 Clip With Drums: Arch Enemy - Dark Of The Sun

Wow, that was pretty tight recording, great riffs and fantastic european typa frasing, I might be wrong but 5150 is not known for such defined low-end palm mutes is that the bogner 4X12 with possibly V30s at work or the pups? What do you have in that V ??? Sounds like it could be fullshread in the bridge or maybe even invader ....

Thanks man! The 5150 is used a lot with low tuned European metal bands actually. Arch Enemy, Carcass, Soilwork, In Flames, etc. It just sounds great for that style. The V has a Duncan Custom in the bridge and a Duncan '59 in the neck. :cool2:

Wow, that amp really has some gain balls if Custom sounds so rich and tight. So are those V30s in that 4X12?

Yup! I'm actually selling that cab just because I need to downsize my rig. It's incredible though, best sounding cab I've ever played. :cool2:

Awesome stuff, man! I've always loved your clips on the Sneap forum. Nice to see you bringing them over here.

You're pretty much nailing the early Arch Enemy tone. All you need to do now is make more clips. :)

Still running RFT's in your 5150?

Thanks dude! I actually have a Tung Sol in V1 of my 5150 now, I like it as much as the RFT. The RFT sounds better in Engl amps from what I've tried thus far.
