I've got a 5150 half stack that has sat in my closet for years. It is way too loud to be played in a bedroom. I'm saving it because it is a block letter edition and I got an amazing deal on it about 10 years ago. Plus, when the wife and I have our house, it will be used. For now, in a townhouse, too loud! The 5150 combo is still ridiculously loud. You could use it in a bedroom, but I don't think you would get the optimal tone out of it at bedroom levels. Those amps need to be cranked to sound right. I've got a Flextone III that I use for bedroom jamming and it serves me very well. Only get the 5150 combo if you're going to be playing regular bar gigs. Get the 5150 head if you're going to be playing large clubs.
