got a lead on a 5150 2x12 combo for 400........is that a good deal or should they go for cheaper? what kind of stuff should check out before buying? thanks

going against ebay prices, the ebay ones seem like they're at least 500+shipping, and a 2x12 combo isin't the lightest of things to ship.

Is that the 5150 combo on Craigslist? I called on it since the guy lives in my area but he told me it was sold. If it`s in great shape like the ad says and works perfect $400 is a great deal. Ad says it was retubed with 34s , I`m assuming he meant EL34s , that`s pretty uncommon for a 5150.

you should play it, test all the nobs, check both speakers etc...old amps sometimes need alot of work
