52 tele on ebay

some things just don't seem right to me about this one. fisrt thing i noticed were the screws, some philips some flat, the cap doesn't seem like it has been there since the 60's and the finish isn't even a different color under the guard. It seems to me to be a decent fake but not worth the over $6000 someone is trying to get for it. what do you guys think

I'm not an expert. But it looks a bit off to me, too. The headstock looks poorly refinished. I'd be very skeptical and hope I never drop that kind of money on guitar without having everything verified by an expert. :smoker:

Yep. I don't trust the finish and re-chromed parts.

ALSO, they did not use ceramic disc cap's back then. But, some people are crazy and will pay up for things like that anyway.

It could still be a great sounding guitar, but $7000+ is kinda high.
