58 59 V question

Ive seen many guitars. Original 58 59 V's and the reissue Gibson ones though the years. and ive seen them with both chrome and gold headstock logos. So my question is. whats "really" correct for the 58 59 V's? gold or chrome? And what did Gibson use when they did the reissues? or did they come with both including the original 59's??? ron

Gold hardware. The V initially had a black pickguard, which I think looks much better than the white.

I know the picture is not very good but here is a picture I took of the original Flying V on display at the EMP in Seattle.



The headstock logo is gold as well.

Wow that's cool!!!!!!!.. Heres another question. Did the original ones ever come with those pointers under the knobs? Or just the reissues ones? Or maybe those didn't either? thanks
