My amp is kind of bright with 6l6s so I was thinking about switching them out with 5881s. I lso heard that 5881s sound something in between 6l6 and el34. Is this true?
not really, the 5881 is just a military version of the 6l6. what 6l6 are you using now? i like a GE style 6l6 tube or kt66 if your power tranny can take it
