mongrollo New member Nov 23, 2004 #1 I have this set laying around and I thought they could fit in a cheapy hollowbody guitar. Imagine something like a Dot Epiphone or cheaper. My concern it is about the treble response. I think the are going to be too much for this type of guitar. What do think about it?

jeremy LoveMachineologist Staff member Nov 23, 2004 #2 Re: 59/JB combo for a cheapy hollowbody? i wouldnt think so, ive played a 59n/custom combo in a epi studio dot and it wasnt overly bright. there is plenty of high end but i never found it overbearing, the jb was lots of fun with overdrive

Benjy_26 25's Nemesis Nov 23, 2004 #3 Re: 59/JB combo for a cheapy hollowbody? It should work fine. If you find the JB to be too peaky in the highs, just install it using 250k pots and it should take care of it.
