'59 one or four conductor, do they sound the same?

Do the single and four conductor versions of the '59 sound the same when wired traditionally, in series? I know the single conductor is constructed "vintage correct". I have one of each in different guitars, but in the same guitar, would they sound identical, or different?

Electrically, they are the same exact thing. Any variations are due to tolerances in the wind, not the number of conductors.

Sometimes '59 sounds boomy in a LP or semihollow, but I haven't found that issue from the four conductor version.

Re: '59 one or four conductor, do they sound the same?

I was curious because they sound similar, but quite different in two different guitars I own in the neck position. But, they are two very different guitars, so that's somewhat expected.

How do they sound installed in the same guitar?

Re: '59 one or four conductor, do they sound the same?

By the time you installed one, took it out, and installed the other one, the differences you might have would be inaudible.
