Fully hollow body, three pickups, three slider toggle switches, a volume, and a tone control.

Seems to be a cool little guitar. I'm in the process of fixing her up as cheaply as possible to get her playable and see if it's worth spending more money on. I finally got the wiring fixed up and running for her, tuned it up and one of the tuners snapped off. :S Also, the action is about 3/4s of an inch off the neck at the 12th fret the moment . . . probably due to the 'custom' bridge that is on the guitar. Someone welded that piece of crap together, and it's about three quarters of an inch too high.

Weird pickups on this thing! I popped the cover off one, saw some wax paper. carefully opened the wax paper and it looks like they're filled with a bar magnet with wire wrapped around them. That's it! I guess it would be similar to a lipstick pickup? They're not high output, but sound pretty cool . . . definitely not like a humbucker or regular single coil pickup. Not as noisy as I was expecting them to be either.

Currently debating if it's worth replacing the tuners and finding a new bridge for her. :P From the little I was able to play it does sound really cool . . . and old hollowbodies always seem to sound awesome for slide. The neck feels nice too . . .

That pic above was in ****ty light, the guitar looks more this colour:

Next guitar to try to fix up is the red one in the pic next to it (with the chrome covered, solid copper pickguard. WTF!?)

YGM 1, serial no. 499. New power tubes and a power plug repair and she sounds great!

That is awesome. I tried buying one of those a while back but the guy wouldn't come down to a reasonable price. Nice sounding amp for sure!

I'm so jealous, I just love those old guitars. I'd put good tuners a new bridge & you'd have a player 4 sure. The acoustics look like fun too.
