7 string blackout wiring problem

Hey everyone, I got a problem here. I just installed phase 1 blackouts in an Ibanez 7 string and I am only getting sound in the center point of the volume pot. If it is all the way up or down, I am not getting any sound. I re-checked my diagram and all wires seem to be in the correct spots. If anyone could let me know what I have done wrong, or what would cause this, that would be great. I am attaching the diagram I am following. I am bypassing the tone (does that change anything?). Thanks, to anyone in advance.

Re: 7 string blackout wiring problem

Can you post a good clear pic of your wiring?

I just took another test ride and looked at everything again and it was the pot. I am using an EMG pot so I don't have to rout any more on this guitar. The sd pots are too big for my rg7420's existing holes. Soooooo, I grabbed another one since I have a bunch laying around and re soldered everything to the new pot and it sounded great except now it is scratchy when I turn the volume up and down:barf: and it sounds quieter at some points, ****** all to hell and back I guess I gotta grab another and do it all again if that's even the problem. Everything else worked correctly. Thanks for replying edgecrusher.

Sounds like the new pot is dirty. If you get some deoxit or some other electrical contact cleaner you should be able to spray it out. Let us know if it still doesnt work out

Cool, I have some deoxit and was wondering if I could do that. Thanks bud. I'll let you know.

Well I cleaned it and it started acting like the other pot. There are silent spots and at times has volume with it all the way down. I am also getting some sound when I tap on the neck pickup with it in the bridge position I. I don't know what's going on if it's the pot or what, I have a few more and will try them. Here is how it is wired, the neck pickup is wired to the 2nd tab from the left on the switch.sd 007.jpg
