7 String SG

New from Gibson, comes stock with 59 and JB. Looks kinda boss; the white one reminds me of the Buckethead LP.

Not really, just a purveyor of the latest in linguistic quirks :P.

Not sure about the 24.75 scale though - you'd need troll strings.

Nope. I've got one of the Les Paul 7 strings and it sounds great and tight with a 60 on the B.

Not saying that longer scale lengths don't work better for 7's, but you don't need bridge cables to do it on a 24.75".

^^ Hmm, interesting. I'm more into superstrats, so it would more likely occur to me to get something with at least 25.5 if I were getting a 7.

Neck dive... :argh:

Yeah, those Grovers... Would go for some lightweight open gear tuners myself, or some super fat cow hide strap.

Still, surprised you haven't got one of these yet ;).

Yeah, most of the Internet seems to be insisting that you can't do it with Gibson scale lengths. I'm saying you can. Not that there's anything wrong with Superstrats, but I grew up playing Gibson style guitars. I love that there's not a huge amount of difference in feel between my 7 and my 6's.

Re: 7 String SG

Did those cheapskates leave off one trapezoidal inlay to offset the costs of the VII at the seventh position? That's something beginning with G.
