Of course the first album has a Strat-style trem on it. That's because the Floyd Rose didn't exist yet. Not until 1982-83 at least.

The '78 is based off what was put in the Frankenstein back in the day. The EVH is what was wound for the Fender EVH Frankenstein replicas. Two totally different pickups.
The first album, as been discussed a million times, was mostly done with an Ibanez Destroyer with the stock Super 70 pickups. Nothing special.
Another humbucker in a Strat that gets really really close to the tone with the right amp and settings is the Gibson '57 Classic Plus. It's an A2 pickup wound to a little over 9k, vintage style construction. It does the trick really well for me.
