Most black metal bands use stock pickups, and traditional guitars (gibson,fender).....but for a gorgoroth sound a DD works really well. Dark funeral uses Livewire metals and they get the most brutal black metal sound by far. Though, i prefer the sound of NSBM which in this case, a DD or a gibson 500t will work very well.

NSBM is the only sub-genre of Black Metal that Frank Lee rejects. Frank Lee hopes others do the same.

SODOM616, according to your profile, you are 16 and living in Dubai. You may be young and removed, but have more respect for yourself and listen to music that doesn't involve those types of themes. There are other genres with amazing death metal tones that don't drive those twisted ideas into your head.

And this is coming from a 6'4" tall, dirty blonde with a family tree that is almost entirely German...NSBM is NOT cool.

I'm not a racist at all....actually, I don't give a crap what you're skin color or race is(evry1 is equal). I listen to NSBM not because of the Nazi bullcrap lyrics, but because the music is AMAZING. Listen to Satanic Warmaster-The Vampiric Tyrant....epic song.
