8k PEARLY GATES?

I called Duncan and scott recommended I use 2 PG bridge models to get the thickness and tone I want.

When Zhang installed them we measured them and BOTH measured around 8k?

The NECK model is as thick as I needed. But I thought the bridge models were near 8.5k?

I wouldn't mind a touch more balls in the bridge.

Duncans are usually really consistent.

Any answers?

When I recently installed a PG bridge model for a friend, it only measured 7.77 kOhm.

There are a lot of things that effect the DC reading. Temperature and meter calibration are a couple of the more obvious factors

TheArchitect is dead on...DC an be changed by all kinds of things. As for being consistent I have found that there is some variation but as a rule I woul say they are pretty damn consistent. Also, the Pearlg Gates are not wound very hot at all...I would say around 8k give or take is about right for a bridge model. I have had several bridges that didn't break the 8k mark the necks are usally in the 7.5 or so range...even thought the tone chart says 7.3 for the neck and 8.35 for the bridge.
