Re: 90125 Yes Trevor Rabin strat - what bridge SD to use?
I was in 5th grade when I saw YES on the 90125 tour at the Forum in Inglewood, CA (near los angeles). Unbelievable concert - not long ago I purchased the reissue 9012LIVE DVD. It's got a lot of footage of backstage things that weren't included on the original 9012LIVE. The original one had a lot of weird artsy stuff in between, and strange footage from old 50's films and such.
I think I remember seeing a huge Bradshaw style (circa early 80's) switching system that he used at the time. The thing just looks monstrous onstage, but I agree with the other comments about his overall sound and tone - just killer guitar tones and the harmonizer stuff he did on the solo for 'Owner of a lonely heart' was pretty revolutionary for it's time.
If you want to check something out that's neat to hear, get yourself a copy of 90124 on CD - it has a lot of the original demo versions of the songs on 90125. It's funny to hear Trevor Rabin playing owner of a lonely heart on an acoustic and just humming along the melody and some rough lyrics.
