I just bought this guitar today. I'm gonna be honest, I got it cheap out of a pawn shop that lets me just pick up pawns that are overdue. I've played it and it plays like freakin' butter. I'm half tempted to ask what it's worth and wait on a buyer it plays so good! It plays just as good as my other 3 Gibsons, and that says alot. I'm being honest, I'm only selling this guitar to make a couple of bucks since I got it so cheap.
Now about the guitar. It has what I beleive to be the original pickups, as they both say "Gibson" on the backs. Everything else looks to be original as well. The neck is straight and has a 60ish taper to it like most all early 90's Studios. I beleive the board is ebony like my 91 Studio Lite because it is dark black. If it is Rosewood, it would really really surprise me. The guitar plays and sound 100%, no issues what-so-ever. Being almost 20 years old it does have some wear. Nothing too major though. A few of the normal bumps, (around 3 or 4) and some checking in the clear on the body and headstock. Nothing too bad though. Gold hardware and gold tuners which look to have came off a Custom since they are embossed Gibson, but I never seen those types on a Studio, may be original though.
I'm including tons of pics, which I will go ahead and say, make the guitar look alot worse than it actually is. I took the pics in full sunlight so it would show every liitle scratch. In person from 10 feet away, the guitar looks close to mint with a nice shine and minimal wear.
The bad part............... it did not come with a case, but, I would be happy to pick up a hardshell for wholesale cost from my buddy to ship it in for an extra $65.
Price................ I'm looking for $500. I want the buyer to pay shipping, so figure $40 to $60, or to average it out, let's just say $550 shipped anywhere in the CONUS. If it's less, consider it a tip, if it's more, it's on me.
EDIT
Here's a pic of what the guitar actually looks like. The camera picked up all the surface scratches that normally don't show up.
