'91 LP Studio "Yellowed"

Re: '91 LP Studio "Yellowed"

Who was it that stuck a white guitar in a shed with like a pack of cigarettes burning in ashtrays for a month. I know Jerry Cantrell had one with burns all over it, but I wanna say it was someone else who did the "smokehouse" treatment. Dude from Enuff Znuff? Can't recall, but it came out a nice vintage yellowed color. Stunk like hell I'm sure, though.

Hmmm. I wonder if you hung one in a smokehouse and burned like hickory or some other "flavoring" woods like you would for meat?

Then again, you couldn't touch it without craving a plate of ribs

I have an SG standard that i bought second hand. Plays and sounds great, but it has that stale ashtray smell in it still after a two years. The original owner must have smoked like a trooper.

Any of you guys think activated charcoal might soak up some of that smell if he puts it in some cheesecloth sacks inside the case with the guitar? I know it's helped get rid of the stink in an old fridge before.
