A-8 JB / 59 N clip

I dropped an A-8 Mag in the JB I have in the bridge of my Purple 95 MG 122 Washburn. This one is a mahogany body with a flame maple top and has a 59 N with a 5 way superswitch. I start on the 59 N only untill the first break then go to the center position with both the 59 and the JB-8 and for the rest of the clip. I never go back to just the 59 N alone after the first break and use just the switch, volume control and picking for the dynamics. I'm playing through the fender Prosonic and using no effects.
I'm really digging the JB with the A-8 in this guitar and it's much different than the Custom 8 and Crazy 8's that I have used. I love the big smooth bottom and while it got real heat it's a lot more organic and softer in the feel than the Custom with the A-8. Where the Custom-8 is a super articulate cutting hairmetal monster this one is more smooth, sweet and compressed. The mids are really pronounced but are smooth and buttery and the highs are less harsh now.
The match of the JB-8 and 59 N is near perfect I really want to hear the Alt 8 now!!!

That sounded incredible. The highs sounded so much smoother than what I'm used to in the JB. And what pots are you using?

How is it this pickup for rhythm playing compared to the old JB?

Good job!

Re: A-8 JB / 59 N clip

Thanks for the clip but i think it would be better to hear how the JB sounds with the a8 magnet by itself and not with both pickups "on"

The rhythm tones are bigger and fatter than the stock JB tones with a solid CHUNK. Over all the pickup is bigger sounding, tighter and smoother. The output is smoking but it still has a buttery smooth high end and a pretty good bit of compression. The JB-8 is much softer in the feel than the Custom with the A-8 and has a really cool compression and "bloom" after you hit it hard.
I'm using the stock 500K CTS pots in the guitar.

Re: A-8 JB / 59 N clip

Good job, I liked the dynamics in the playing. Sounds like you hit on a good mod for the JB.

Actually in certain parts of this clip it sounds like it's only the bridge JB-8 by itself...Ascension please correct me if my ears are misleading me...
