the difference is likely to blow your mind... congrats!
them tributes are, unfortunately, rather epiphone-ish (epi-phoney? lol) in sound and feel. Though, OTOH, it'd be strange to expect much more out of something that costs like an epiphone (or even less than some!), when its price has far more expensive american labour figured in. Gotta have cheaper parts, wood, and finish to add up. There's no something for nothing, not in new guitars at least.

ran home at lunch and got quick look. The case is freaking huge. Looks perfect head to toe even tho it was from a store. They said they had it behind the glass and I believe it. Didn't get to plug it in yet but man it felt nice and looked great. I have to figure out those funky new tuners they got this evening. Here is one quicky pic.

That guitar is ****ing sweet! I've never actually played a firebird; what kind of profile does the neck have?
