A bit of nostalgia

Lol, thanks. The wrong setting was on the recorder, so it was redlining the whole time. Oddly, I think that it really captures the spirit of the performance.

Got some old live recording like that myself. Yep overloaded and sounds nasty. Would have loved to hear a cleaner versions but--.

I've got other old stuff with cleaner recording. But the energy of that night was over the top. And it reminded me of the sound of bootleg recordings that we used to make as kids when we would sneak an old cassette recorder into a concert.

I thought is was a cool listen. This could be cool idea for a thread, some of our boombox, or cell phone recordings. I bet people have some interesting stuff archived.

This was actually recorded on my Zoom Q3. Unfortunately, the gain was set on "high" when it should have been on "low" or "auto".
But like I said, it captured the feel of being in the room that night.
It was insanely loud. Just as live thrash metal should be.
I hear the guitar just fine. I even hear the bass. However, that night, my bass was going direct in and I couldn't hear a thing through my monitor. Never again would I ever play a gig without a live amp behind me.

Here's something a bit more recent. Had the gain set properly on the recorder. So if you think that it sucks, so be it.
