yeah i traded some crazy good charlotte fan my ibanez for it...all he kept saying was he was hoping the ibanez sounded more like his hero from good charlotte's guitar than the schecter did.

Damn... That is one way cool selection man... How long have you been playing and how many jobs have you got? I'm 18 so by the time I'm 25 I'd have been playing for 7 years, that's 7 guitars... Ah well i can make that 10 :D

Re: A classy strat rebuild...

The two middle Tele's: are those mini HB's in the neck? Which ones are they, and how do they sound? I am thinking of doing the same for my Tele.

Nice collection, btw!

Pierre: I've been playing since i was 13 or so...so just over 10 years. As for jobs, i've had a few pointless ones lol but now i work for myself doing freelance graphic design. since i just finished college i am going to venture into the "real" world and get a "real" job soon b/c freelance is great, i can do it anytime but it's not a solid paycheck which can suck at times.

rather: yeah they are duncan mini hums (firebird style) in both the black and pewter teles. the pewter "twistedcaster" has the vintage mini hum and the black one has the custom mini hum. of the two i like the vintage better it works amazingly clean and under high gain for lead work and never gets real muddy even for high gain chord work. the custom is quite a bit more agressive (obviously lol) and seems to have a touch less low end warmth to it...it works well for dirty lead work but the clean sound is a bit harsh at times and not as "vintage" warm and full/round sounding as the vintage mini hum so i think of the two i like the vintage better but the custom is good in its own way for certain things.

'real' life...? You mean... outside the computer screen... *shivers*
hehe respect on your weapons man. Those mods are friggin' awesome. They look amazing too.

Re: A classy strat rebuild...

lol when i say "real" job and "real" world i mean still doing graphic design just for a big company as steady work, not freelance. so i'll still be living in front of a computer lol...thus why i went to college and got a BFA in graphic design.

thanks for the compliments!!

You have a really nice and thoughtful collection! :headbang: Could you please write some words about how the Chrome Dome in your new Strat sounds?

Cool, thanks! I will definitely look into that vintage mini hum. It sounds very much like what I am looking for. Does it come with 4 conductor? How do you have it wired?

Re: A classy strat rebuild...

Peterku: the chrome dome is very cool...lace puts it best, it's "like a strat on steroids" very full and warm sound, not at all brittle like some strat pickups and it still has great highs and reamains clear and articulate for lead work even under high gain and sounds real nice clean for chording or lead work. it's basically a hot rodded version of a gold lace with a chrome cover on it. i'm real happy i took the risk and went with it!

rather: the vintage mini hum only comes in 2 conductor as far as i know, and that's what mine is. it's just wired bridge, bridge & neck, neck...nothing fancy there...just great tones!
