I've got one of those Los Angeles made early 90's Schecters, and it's an amazing Tele.
The body is second to NO Fender. The neck is incredible, although I wish they'd made them a bit thicker. It's a very fast playing tele. My first instinct was to yank the Monstertone tapped pickups, which are basically Andersons......the problem is that they sound friggin great, so I can't bring myself to go the Duncan route.

I'm gonna do it now, since I've been procrastinating doing it. Korean Schecters aren't even in the same class as US Schecters. US Schecters are equal in quality to Suhr, Anderson, G&L, and Grosh.

Why would someone take off the neck and remove a pickup for an ebay sale. That actually deters me. Don't be taking apart my future guitar - you could mess it up....

I agree GJ. I wish the necks were abit more beefy. Schecter has some AWSOME guitars coming out this year. Anyone see the new stuff yet?

Man being a young teen back in the early 80's when Townshend used those Shecter parts guitars i wanted one bad.... still do but i think i'd go with a Warmoth made tele over the Shecter. Petes Teles were just parts guitars and put together be various techs. Some of those teles were not even Shecter, they were Giffins. But i always liked the gold top tele's Pete had at the Toronto 82 TV broadcasted show. They looked hot!
