Looking for Real Life
first, a couple regarding bassmanses's
what kind of a difference does a rectifier tube make?
also, say i wanted to use it to compliment a hotrod deluxe with a souped up blues driver (in order to get a more fat, creamy & big sound by adding some authentic, fattest of fat bassman tube OD) should i look towards the reissue, or a head like this with a ___ loaded cab? if second please specify. And what tubes would be suited for this? I'd still like it to sound good on its own, so it can't be muddy, but still has to be pretty warm & fat to get the kind of affect i want
and an attenuator question, are they ONLY good for driving tubes, or can you use them for sort of a master volume effect? like making your amp sound like it does at higher volumes, but at lower ones
if not, how much is it (usually) to install a master volume pot?
