A Friend For a Seth Lover

Hi, I've got a Seth Lover in the neck of a Player Series Tele and a stock pickup in the bridge. I'm looking for a good single coil match for the Seth. I use the guitar for jazzy sounds and love the Seth for single notes but it's a bit to much for chords. I'm running it through a SuperChamp X2 with a Celestion Gold. Any thoughts?

Re: A Friend For a Seth Lover

Exactly my suggestion, and my favorite 2 pickups in a Tele.

Not quite what your asking for, but i use a lil59 in the bridge of my asat bluesboy with a seth n and 500k pots, a pretty good match. But for your needs, I will second the Jerry Donahue bridge.

The little 59 is a great pickup, isn’t it? I’ve got one in my tele...love it. Now I just need to love the tele... I have tremendous mixed emotions about it.

Lil '59...as long as you aren't looking to split...kind of a wimpy split...but otherwise best tele bridge pickup around...and not a high output driver so would work nicely with your style....

Re: A Friend For a Seth Lover

The Little 59 is a good choice balance-wise, too, but it doesn't sound at all Tele-ish. That might not be what you want.

Re: A Friend For a Seth Lover

Huh? It sounds more like a PAF-type than a single coil.
