You don't hear the F root because it is an F9 chord being played by George with G on top and as the root. The other guitar (John) is playing that D sus4 chord (again, a G on top). So it gets a little blurry as to what to call the chord for just one instrument playing it especially with Paul playing that D on the bottom.
