A mistake in one of my recent wiring diagrams.

Edit #2: I now have reason to believe that this drawing is also wrong. :yell:
I wouldn't use one of my dual-splitting diagrams til I can get this straightened out.
Sorry folks. :smack:

This diagram uses one push/pull pot to split both coils. Then uses the second push/pull pot to select inside or outside coils. Both coils should then be selectable by the 3-way. (They are now. Diagram corrected.)

My apologies to anyone who's wired up their guitar using the flawed diagram. On the bright side, the flawed diagram won't hurt anything. It just means that the 3-way must be in the neck, or neck/bridge position to work in "split" mode.

Sorry folks. I'll try to be more careful in the future. :blackeye:

Dadgummit . . . the above diagram is wrong.

Here's the corrected version:

Re: A mistake in one of my recent wiring diagrams.

I can't tell you how much this frustrates me right now. My "correction" was as wrong as the original. :yell:

I may roll back on how many of these drawings I do, and stick to things I've actually done, instead of the "theoretical" ones. I don't want folks tearing their guitars apart to wire them wrong. They can do that without my "help". :blackeye:

(btw - I discovered what was wrong by wiring one of my guitars today with this drawing. I know what works, and what doesn't now.) ;)
