It's funny you mentioned the gators....I live on a canal & was mowing the lawn earlier. I usually don't pay too much attention down there, but I had my eyes wide open today! :laugh2:
I bet you did. :laugh2: And ready to drop that mower in a nanosecond.

I only use my bluesdriver infront of my laney for leads. It does the job and i like the sound. But i do sometimes wonder if it could be bettered with a different drive, like an SD-1? Tubescreamer? a distortion? Havent really been able to try out many. My mate was selling a bunch of pedals and i A/B'd the BD-2 against a stock DS-1 and the bluesdriver sounded less harsh and nicer to me so i went with it. If the opportunities arise ill give other pedals a go.

I was down there one day with the weedeater hitting the part where the ground is on an incline, close to the water.

The biggest friggin' snake I ever saw came running right past me.....

It had to be so damned funny to have been watching me.

Scared the crap out of me!!!

I dropped the weedeater & started heading up in slow motion, but fell because of the incline.....:smack: :laugh2:

I have gathered a couple of nice od's I really need to try and compare with each other directly: (modded)Ts-9, (modded)SD-1, Silver Dragon, V-twin.
Def. could hook em up after each other but I worried about that setup sucking the tone dry since only the Dragon is true bypass.

But in the end I only use the TS-9 since it gives me the creamiest, smoothest & less fizzy boost. That and a tuning pedal is basicly all I need with my Bogner anyway, it just sounds right.

Next step: effects, rackmount stuff, midi board... But that's a whole lot stuff to dig into as I'm always aiming for the best possible within my reach.

I'm getting a MOSFET fulldrive first, od + clean boost = perfect!

We're actually thinking of/wanting to move.....DFW hasn't been mentioned as of yet, but I liked the parts of Texas I've been to.

If it was up to me, I'd be in a 3 guitar line-up with Christian & B Bent (the Atlanta area has been mentioned, as her corporate office is there).

stop talk and start packing!

I'll have beer ready when you get here...between your stuff, my stuff and Gregs stuff we have all the gear we'd ever need!...for a while:laugh2:

Usually, you see pedalboards that are an equal balance of OD/Distortions and modulation or delay FX. Supposing you don't always use FX, have you ever thought of using a pedalboard with a multitude of gain devices? I'm re-evaluating what I really want to have on my pedalboard, and I had a thought about having 5 or more OD's, distortions, and fuzz pedals, just to make things interesting. It also allows you to have a lot of different flavors of gain. Your thoughts?

I've been doing this for a few years now.... Thru my Classic 30's clean channel i use a pedalboard with various pedals for gain... I use one of those Boss Line Selector pedals and have 2 loops.... One loop is for Rythym distortions and the other loop is for Solo distortions.... What is really nice about the Line Selector is thru an amps clean channel you can set the SOLO distortion's loop louder and you get a huge INSTANT boost of gain and volume like switching to a solo channel on a modern multi channel amp.....

Only other pedals i have besides OD/Distortion is the Line Selector, a Wah, and a Chorus...... Plus a little foot switch to turn off my cord so i can change guitars without the pop
