Studiomaster being the English company that normally makes mixers had a brief stint with making valve amps in the early 80's. Anyone played or heard a VLM before? Other than two HC reviews, this is the only information I could find:

They look like they're based on the Boogie Mark II/III series design. Anyone played or heard one of these things before?

Yes I own one. Bought one of the first amps sold in the US. Really a fantastic amp. I've owned dozens of amps but this is one I would never sell.

Haaaaaa......totally forgot about this.

I must have been expecting a response within 12 hours back in 2007. Can't even remember how found out about this amp. Perhaps there was one for sale locally on Ebay.

Funnily enough, around this time I owned a Mesa Quad Pre which is a hefty 3RU dual channel (Mark IIC & Mark III) preamp. Knobs and sliders galore. I've since moved on to a much more minimalist setup.

Hahaha, I never noticed that this was a ten-year-old thread, hahahaha. No wonder the links didn't work.

Indy Sg has (or used to have) a pair of these iirc.. Not sure if John was using these in his time with the Yardbirds or not..
