a very good phaser

Re: a very good phaser

All you need is an EVH. -classic plus modern 4 stage; Done.

Re: a very good phaser

I have an EVH, and it's great, but I also get a lot of use out of the Boss.

Re: a very good phaser

Honestly, I looked at a ton of phasers over the past year, and the Small Stone was the one that sounded like I thought a phaser should sound. It is warm, chewy, not too swirly or wobbly, and sits in a band setting really well.

Re: a very good phaser

my Small stone is now broken
i liked the sound but with the zoom ms 50g

i found new sounds: duet phaser
wrap phaser
rise
fall
2- 12 stages phaser

i think that a duet phaser
or more than 4 stages would be good

what i did not like with the SMALL Stone was the cold sound vs a MXR univibe or chorus

the SMALL STONE had 2 colors but the second "color" was not useful
very hard for the ears

so
i think my next phaser would be the tremonti phaser
mxr EVH
MXR 95 or 99

did you prefer the SMALL Stone (over) and not the MXR phasers?

Re: a very good phaser

Personally, I like the Small Stone sound over the MXRs. I like 4 stage, no more, no less. But that's me.

Re: a very good phaser

"The Tremonti is analog/digital. The signal is digitized when the pedal is on,
but not when it is off.
Buffered bypass."

Re: a very good phaser

i have the t rex twister 2

the chorus is not as good and warm as an analog chorus but decent

the flanger is good enough for EVH tones

but 100% analog would be better

Re: a very good phaser

we have 2 models to try

Re: a very good phaser

the clean sound sounded without any presence and with a dark sound with the "small stone"

it was a problem

Re: a very good phaser

I swear by the EarthQuaker Devices Grand Orbiter. I have V2, but the V1 is just the same. Can be had pretty cheap used.
