Great story. I wish there was such meaningful, special musical heritage in my family - I guess it's up to me to create some for my kids and their kids one day

A Goldtop fan here too! Great story, and it certainly isn't the first Deluxe I've seen with routing accidents!

Great story. That guitar's a keeper even with the modifications.

My first Les Paul was a '69 Deluxe. I pulled out the mini's for Humbuckers too. The neck humbucker was done by a hack who butchered the routing. The bridge was done by a pro.
