A very special, bittersweet NGD - 70s era Les Paul

Yep, pass it on to your child when the time comes. Maybe you will get to hear some of the same arguements about which one might get which guitar. :eek5:

Great story. I wish there was such meaningful, special musical heritage in my family - I guess it's up to me to create some for my kids and their kids one day :)

A Goldtop fan here too! Great story, and it certainly isn't the first Deluxe I've seen with routing accidents!

Enjoy!

Great story. That guitar's a keeper even with the modifications.

My first Les Paul was a '69 Deluxe. I pulled out the mini's for Humbuckers too. The neck humbucker was done by a hack who butchered the routing. The bridge was done by a pro.

Looks way cool.

Shouldn't take too much to get it whipped into shape, cosmetically.

Jake - love that guitar with all your heart, and play the snot out of it every chance you get.

Stuff like that doesn't come along for most people ever. If it's been under the bed that long, let the music out of it. That's why it came to you.
