Man it's been a while since I posted in here guys... :yell:

Ok, this is the JB Proto A2 that I recieved from Stevo, I don't know if anyone read my review of it in the pup lounge but it (after listening to Stevo's clip of it in a poplar tele) ended up in my poplar strat, and I was gonna put the bridge pup from that into my RS 530... But then I took the Custom outa my totaled RG (since it's not doing much good in that...) and put that in the RS. I suppose when I get the RG back to playable the GSG pup will end up in there.. Because the stock ibanez bridge pup is awful :burnout:

Starts off with a piano and strings melody backed with some acoustic guitar... The drums kick in and the A2 JB comes in with some OD... Sorry about that particular tone not being EQ'd so well.

Anyway, then comes in the A2 JB with some serious gain to show its "metal" tone, and the solo tone I'm really proud of. IMO thats the best tone I've ever got for really high gain.

BTW, the piece was a challenge I set myself - combine metal guitars and drumming (second half) with a melodic solo and really "happy" sounding orchestral parts... Just a bit of fun really.

now i can elaborate on the JB. gain department :D

it sounds fuller than mine, the height dissapear a bit and the mids are far more pronounced, more punchy VS percussive in the A5 version. it still sings as the JB we all love. this might be something for me to try, if i ever get my hands on a A2 magnet.

but you should set the mix right cos the riffing is a little bit lost in the whole thing

It gets kinda fizzy just after 2:40 but other than that it's fine. Don't worry about it! I gave up trying to get it balanced myself. Theres two voilins, a piano and a cello at the start with two acoustics, then drums and an OD guitar comes in... then a gajillion other strings come in as well as loud metal guitars and a solo...

Too much work to mix it!

I saved it in Nuendo...will give it one more shot later on.....see if I can make it better.

Man, I´m glad that you´re back nuntius. That is an awesome tune.

My JB is a bit to "treblely" what can I do about it? Your sound is more balanced.

@Rid: Tone is :32: nice man, playin of course too :)

I prefer this take Rid, although I overwrote the original when I downloaded this one so I can't cross reference it :D
